It is true! You can grow carrots on your deck, really you can! My little bucket planter is looking a little bit sad after I was away for a couple of weeks, but it is still growing. I have a few tomato plants filled with lots of sweet yellow tomatoes and I have carrots!

The little yellow tomatoes are delicious, perfect for snacking. The carrots are small, but sweet and they actually grew….take that oh doubtful husband!  The best part about the carrots appearing is that once I picked a few Lady V. actually ate one. Since the whole mission behind my little snacking garden is to encourage her to try a few new veggies, I would say “Mission Accomplished!”
